USANA Compensation Plan: How to Make Money in USANA

A very common USANA question is "How do I make money in USANA Health Sciences?" If you're new to USANA or the MLM industry, it'll take a little bit of studying to understand how it really works since it's different than working a job. Below is a very simple, yet effective compensation plan strategy for making money with USANA.



USANA Making Money Step #1: Get 20 Preferred Customers


Customers are the lifeblood of any business. Very few USANA Associates put focus on getting PC's, but it's critical to the long term health of your business. If you don't have PC's your USANA business will be "glass house" built on recruiting Associates only!

In the U.S., if you have 20 customers on the USANA HealthPak (or equivalent order size) you'll earn about $400/mo in USANA commissions. Now, that probably won't retire you from your job, but let's put it into perspective: You would need to have $96,000 in the bank earning you 5% to equal 20 PC's!


USANA Making Money Step #2: Get 100 Preferred Customers


What does every business want? More customers! Your USANA business should be no different. However, this is where developing leverage by recruiting and training other USANA Associates come into play. You could go out there and get 80 more PC's on your own or you could sponsor 4 Associates and train them to get customers.

You would personally have 20 PC's and 4 Associates who each have 20 PC's. That would be 100 PC's total in your organization. That would earn you about $2,000/mo in USANA commission checks. You would need $480,000 in the bank at 5% to earn you the equivalent!


USANA Making Money Step #3: Get 400 Preferred Customers


Now the goal is to help your 4 Associates above to each recruit 4 Associates and help them get 20 PC's. That would give you a total of 20 USANA Associates who have a combined 400 PC's. 

Not only would this put your income up around $9,000/mo, you'd probably be a USANA Gold Director too! At this point, other USANA compensation plan bonuses start kicking in since you're a leader. This will allow you to make more money in USANA.

You would need about $2,200,000 in the bank at 5% to earn you equivalent income. What's easier, saving $2,200,000 or getting 400 USANA Preferred Customers? I'll go for getting the PC's!

USANA Questions & Answers: Be Prepared

Often times USANA Associates tell me that they are afraid of getting asked questions by people. You shouldn't be sacred... you should be excited! Questions regarding the USANA Essentials or HealthPak are good. This video and blog article will help you be prepared to answer them. USANA Questions Are Great!  Get Prepared!


"How Much is the USANA HealthPak (or Essentials?)"

“It costs what a lot of people spend on a drink at Starbucks or happy hour on a daily basis.  It’s only about $4 a day ($110/28 = $3.90).  I realized how important my health is and that this is one of the easiest things I can do for it.  

“You want to try a month’s worth and see how it works for you?” 

(Pause, wait for their response)

"The USANA Essentials/HealthPak Seem Expensive..."


“Compared to what?” 

Pause. That comment is usually a knee jerk response with no “logic behind it.”  Once people try to explain, they realize it makes no sense.

“I realized that I spend $5 on a lot of things that don’t do anything for my health.  Things like coffee out, cocktails out, fast food and vending machines.  What does more for our health - Starbucks or high quality supplements?” 

You’re trying to figure out if they really don’t have the budget for it or if it’s a silly price objection.

"The Essentials/HealthPak is Not within My Budget..."


Some people don’t have the budget or simply to big of sticker shock If a person has never purchased any supplement in the past, this can seem “very expensive.”

Your mission is to get them on something, even a 1/2 a HealthPak,

“Ok.  What’s in your budget?”  Many people will say $50 a month.  

“Well something is better then nothing.  Even half a HealthPak a day is far better then a dose of most other products out there.  Get a month’s supply, but only take one packet a day, rather then both.  How does that sound?”

Most people will go for that.  Remember. you’re developing a long term loyal customer - One step at a time!

Remember That Something is Better Than Nothing


Do your best to get them on anything!  Getting them on any product or combination that meets their budget is a step in the right direction for their health and your business!

USANA Effort - What Does it Really Take to Build a USANA Business?

One of the most common USANA Questions from potential USANA Associates is "How much effort and time do I need to put into USANA to get results?"  This is a very loaded question with no simple answer.  If someone tells you there is a simple answer, then they are full of B.S.!



What Are Your Goals With USANA?


This is the first area that needs to be determined.  It'll require more effort and time from someone who wants to create a full time income than a person who wants to get his or her products paid for each month.  

So, what is your USANA income goal?  $500/mo, $5,000/mo or $15,000/mo?
