Thanksgiving, Christmas, & Holidays: USANA Momentum instead of USANA Break Time

Hi Everyone.  Jason Wells here writing you from the UK. I am in week 2 of my 4 week trip to the UK. It's freedom to take trips like this that reminds me the power of USANA.   It was momentum over the years in my USANA business that contributed to this lifestyle.

That brings me to my point when it comes to momentum.

Over my ten years in USANA, I have noticed that the people that get and keep momentum in USANA which leads to faster growth have certain habits.  You have heard me say this over and over again that consistency in this business is difference.  That leads me to bring up the #1 time of the year that people can either GAIN momentum or spend most of January and February trying to build it back up.

When you have momentum, the business takes a lot less work to grow.  It's a like a boat.  When you hit the gas on a boat, it pushes water and requires way more gas to get and keep speed.  Once the boat gets to a certain speed, it pops up out of the water and it will actually go faster with less gas once you are at this point.  It has enough momentum to glide on top of the water.  When you back off on the gas, it loses momentum and ends up pushing more water and using more gas to go slower.

I see November and December as a time when people back off on the gas and lose momentum.  Instead, use that time to get even more momentum in USANA.  We are lucky in USANA that we have a great weight management program.  Use that as an opportunity to introduce the RESET to people before the January weight loss rush.  Get your foot in the door with people around you.

Here is what some of my team members are doing:

As Thanksgiving approaches, they are putting together RESET teams.  (We have a complete training program and scripts that you can follow to do this if you read our blog on putting together RESET teams.)  They are putting together a team of RESET teams that are shedding the pounds, losing the cravings before Thanksgiving (or outside the U.S. the holiday temptations in November and heading into December.)  A lot of us can admit to ourselves that the holidays put on weight.  They don't have to and we can do some things to help that.  You have a product that can help people with that.

So some of my team members are doing RESET teams before the end of November (Thanksgiving in the states) and then after Thanksgiving in week 1 to week 2 of December (before the Christmas food craving nightmare), they are doing RESET teams again.  This will do several things:

1) People will lose the food cravings and shed some pounds before November. This will lead to better food choices during Thanksgiving (or the impending holidays around the world) and the reduced weight will offset the bad food choices.

2) Heading into December, the additional RESET programs with those same teams will cut any food cravings by unhealthy (but let's admit fun to eat foods) after Thanksgiving.

3) These people will have success, exposure to the RESET program, so heading into the January weight loss New Years' Resolution demands of consumers, my team members will already have their foot in the door with people, so their customer base will grow long term.

So you can either gain momentum during the holidays or spend January and February trying to get it again.  If you went to convention last year and sat their and thought to yourself: "I should be up there on stage; I am capable" and maybe you got a little mad.  Remember that moment heading into these holidays and don't let them get you "off-track" and stay focused.
