Keep it Simple. Keep it Direct.
We don't need to do anything fancy here! Just ask a direct question, "Do you take supplements?" or something similar. After you ask, pause and wait for the person to answer.
Outcome #1: "Yes, I Do Take Supplements?"
Here are some great questions to follow-up with:
- "What brand do you take?"
- "What's the #1 reason you take supplements?"
- "Why do you take [brand]?"
- "Do you feel a difference when you take supplements?" This is a powerful question! It usually gets a comment from them, "You're supposed to feel something...?" That makes it a perfect time to talk about high quality vitamins (like USANA!)
- "Do you have a particular goal with taking supplements?"
Outcome #2: "No, I don't"
Here are some great questions to follow-up with:
- "Any particular reason why you don't?"
- "Have you ever taken supplements in the past?"
- "Have you ever tried a pharmaceutical grade supplement?" You'll usually get a response, "What's that? Aren't all vitamins the same?"
- "When you took supplements, did you notice a difference?"
Good to Know Tips
- There's no perfect series of questions to ask... just ask questions!
- Don't interrogate people with a series of questions. Stay normal and keep it conversational.
- Memorize these questions so you're prepared when someone says something to you.
