Accountability is one of the most important things you can do for your USANA business. Many USANA associates have incredible upline leaders and end up "taking them for granted."
I am accountable to Chris and Chris is accountable to me, so we are our "own uplines." If you are not meeting with your upline on a weekly basis and discussing what you did since you least meeting, what you are going to do between now and the next meeting, what your successes were since you last meeting, and what didn't go well, then I want to ask yourself: "Am I moving my USANA business in the direction I want it to go? Am I doing enough?" I can say that people who aren't accountability to someone end up answering "no" to that question.
Our first Road To Gold Focus Group went so well, because these people were capable, talented people who just needed some direction, day-to-day advice, and accountability. That lead us to opening a second Road To Gold Focus Group.
So what should do to be accountable? Well, if you are lucky enough to have an awesome upline in USANA and call them and ask them how they can help you be accountable. What plan would that have you? How would they help you build the business? Tell them what you are willing to do to be accountable to them.
If you are "orphaned," or don't have contact with your upline, then get involved in a community (that is why many crossline people a part of Integritas Group.) Maybe some people in that community can help you be accountable to your goals. Consider our Road To Gold Focus Groups if you really feel you need the extra help.
On the subject of goals, take our Goal Setting course, so you have a good idea on even how to set and accomplish goals.
Another tool I use with my downline in USANA is the USANA Bootcamp. It breaks down the training and daily activities needed for USANA success into a "bite-sized" pieces, so you can simply follow a process and not think. Sometimes, you just need a simple plan to follow, so you can be effective and committed to something.
Finally, one of the reasons why I think a lot of people in network marketing including USANA "act like the build the business" instead of really doing something is because they are out their on their own. They are not a part of a community and system with standardized training. That is why I built Integritas Group originally years and years ago. My own downline were lacking these areas. It later grew to crossline people in USANA and the rest is history. I think the reason why Integritas Group has been such a good tool for people in USANA is it provides a system, a community, and standardized training. Sometimes just having those can make a person accountable, because they have something to be accountable to.
I want to end by saying if you are not accountable to someone (or at least something), then start. If you are afraid to be accountable, then I will ask: "How serious are you about USANA?"
