Is the Traditional Health & Freedom Presentation Outdated?

I have a confession to make: I haven't sat through an entire Health and Freedom Presentation, as a presenter or attendee, in about 5 years. I find the traditional Health and Freedom Presentation boring.

Your potential business Associates are probably finding it boring too.

It's not because I find USANA boring or anything like that. No! It's because my attention span has decreased dramatically (Thank you YouTube and Facebook!)

The Internet is making people selfish. I don't mean that in a bad way. People are getting more and more accustomed to getting exactly what they want, when they want, and having the ability to pause, fast forward, rewind or jump to something else with the tap of a finger on the mouse.

Think about your own attention span. What's the reaction you have when you see a long video or webinar to watch? If you're like me, you often think, "Wow, that's a long one.... I'll come back to this later." And then rarely come back.

How often do you see people texting or playing a game on their smartphone while attending a live presentation, conference or in a meeting? You see it all the time! I'll admit, I do it more then I should.

You can either fight the trend or go with the trend. Trust me, you don't want to fight the trend because that is an uphill, losing battle. Don't believe me, take a brief look at all the businesses throughout history that didn't adapt to the trends.

Here's the good news: USANA corporate is doing a lot right with the Health & Freedom Solution and its idea of customization. This is really impressive to me because very few MLM companies are doing this. Hats off to USANA for this.

Here's the bad news: A lot of USANA Associates are not using it properly. On a regular basis, I talk with USANA Associates who are developing Powerpoint presentations that are 50+ slides long and trying to get a local team going by setting up a weekly hotel meeting. People still do this because this what they've heard for years or from MLM leaders who have been retired for 10+ years are telling them.

I'm not knocking people's commitment and enthusiasm (I love it!). However, you would get such a greater return on your effort if you adapted your business building techniques to match the trends. People no longer want to come to a weekly hotel meeting. To be frank, it's pointless when all the information is available on YouTube. Let's be honest, does a professionally done video of Dr. Wentz speaking or me telling the story work better in conveying Dr. Wentz's vision? The Dr. Wentz video does, by a long shot!

Now, I'm not saying you never meet with a person. You just do it in a smart way by utilizing the resources on the Internet. Is it easier for someone's schedule to review 30 minutes of info from their computer (or smartphone) or drive across town on a Tuesday night to sit through an 1.5 hour presentation? Use the resources online, then meet with the interested people afterwards for a cup of coffee to answer questions and give more detail.

This trend is one of the reasons we created the Introduce Step in our communication process. It takes into account the trends, people's diminishing attention span, their desire for personalized information, and all the resources available on the Internet!

If you have not gone through our Communication Training, then do so ASAP! You can find all the details at www.Integritas-Group.com/Communication.

Be sure to check out our website, www.MyBusinessBriefing.com, that is designed to Introduce USANA with all these trends in mind. Grab an access code to check it yourself or watch the YouTube video for a quick overview on it.

I'll ask you again, are you fighting the trend or going with the trend?

Not sure what an access code is? Then check out www.Integritas-Group.com/Questions.

Really understanding and implementing this concept of Introducing requires a paradigm shift, especially for your USANA veterans out there. If you want one-on-one help implementing it, then check out our mentoring and coaching resources.
